What's New!

Yep, having another person to write about has set our blog back WAAAAY farther than we wanted it to! Instead of trying to go back and fill in all of the blanks right away we've decided to start where we are right now and then back fill as we have time...

So, read about what we're up to now and then check below for links to past months that we've updated :-)

Picking Pumpkins!

Today we went to Emma Krumbees is Belle Plaine to pick pumpkins. They had so many things to see and do! First Madeline was a pumpkin... Then we looked at all of the Scarecrows - this one was our favorite! They even had a petting zoo! This goat tried to eat Madeline's feet :-) Madeline and Daddy went down a big green slide and then she rode a tire swing shaped like a horse! She rode a John Deere tricycle, and played in a house that was just her size... What fun! They had tractors she could sit on... and wagons we could all ride on :-) Besides pumpkins there was an apple orchard too. We took special care picking out our family pumpkins... Then took them back to the car in our wagon. All we have left to do is carve them!

Ouside Fun

Even though it's been really warm, fall is definitely here so it's time to clean up the yard and get ready for winter! All of the Black Walnuts are falling off the tree so we had to pick them up. Madeline helped us load the wheelbarrow, but it was too heavy for her to pull! After we were done Madeline got a ride :-) Then it was time to put away the trampoline. We spent the rest of the day playing on the porch. What a fun day!

New Prague Homecoming Parade

Today Madeline and Mommy went into town to watch the New Prague Homecoming parade with Grandma Judy and her Kindergarten class. Madeline saw firetrucks and bands! She even got to wave to Cousin Brad, riding on the firetruck with the rest of the football team :-) It was all very exciting - we like parades!

She got 2 shots today, including the flu vaccine - we don't want a sick Madeline :-)
She did great!

Fun at Grandma & Grandpa Frantz's House

After having some fun in Indy, we drove to Terre Haute to see Grandpa and Grandma Frantz. Madeline had so much fun playing with Grandma and Grandpa while Mommy and Daddy went out to visit friends from collage. She played outside and explored all of Grandma's garden :-) It was so nice to see Grandma and Grandpa again!

New Friend

Last night we flew from Minnesota to Indiana to visit family and friends for the weekend. Our first stop was in Indianapolis to meet new little baby Kelsey! It was so nice to see Kelsey's mommy, Amy, again :-) Madeline even got to hold Kelsey! Their Dog Gizmo was happy to see all of us again too :-)

Renaissance Festival

One of the country's biggest Renaissance Festivals takes place every year about 20 miles from Grandma Judy's house, so we decided to go and check it out! There were so many neat things to see and do. First Mommy & Grandma Judy took Madeline for a ride on an Elephant! Then we watched some Knights riding horses and jousting! We even got to see and touch snakes! We had a great day :-)

More Fun at the Metrodome!

Today we went to another Twins game, but this time Grandma Judy and Dave came along. First we went out to eat at The Old Spaghetti Factory, then we walked down to the Metrodome. We were there kind of early so Grandma Judy and Madeline played in the grass :-) It was such a nice evening to play outside! Then it was time to head in the game. The Twins didn't play very well and lost to the Chicago White Sox :-(
Madeline lost interest in about the 7th inning and snuggled with Grandma until it was time to head home :-)

Dozinky Days

Since we are living back in Mommy's home town, New Prague, MN, we just had to go to the annual town harvest festival, Dozinky Days!
Dozinky Days are held to celebrate the town's Czech heritage.
There was lots of Czech and German food to eat and a big parade with lots of floats and old machinery.
Madeline loved watching everything go by.Especially Daddy, as he drove one of Great-Grandpa Deutsch's old tractors in the parade!

Watch our new house being built!
