What's New!

Yep, having another person to write about has set our blog back WAAAAY farther than we wanted it to! Instead of trying to go back and fill in all of the blanks right away we've decided to start where we are right now and then back fill as we have time...

So, read about what we're up to now and then check below for links to past months that we've updated :-)

Meeting Matt

Today one of our best friends from college, Matt Kuehnert, came to visit. He lives in Texas, but happened to be in Springfield, OH for business. Since he was so close he came over for dinner and finally got to meet Madeline :-)

Making Lasagna

Today Madeline helped Mom make Lasagna. She's still not old enough to try it for herself, but she really seemed to enjoy watching! We think she enjoyed all of the new smells :-) She's taking more interest in solid food all the time - maybe it's time for Mommy and Daddy to start thinking about giving her her first cereal ?!?

Decorating for Madeline's First Christmas!

Time to decorate for Christmas! Even though we will be in Indiana and Minnesota for Christmas this year we wanted to decorate the house for us to enjoy while we were still in Ohio. So, today we dug out all of the Christmas decorations from the basement and put them up all around the house.

The stocking are hung on the staircase, the candles that smell like pine trees have been set out and Madeline helped us docorate her first Christmas tree :-)

Pictures, Pictures & More Pictures

Ok, we might be going overboard with all of the pictures....

but her new little Christmas dress is just too cute!

Diaper Time!

We're still trying to master our new camera so we took some pictures of Madeline in her diaper to play with the Black & White options - These are a sample of what we got!

Thanksgiving

This year we celebrated Thanksgiving at home. Aunt Alyssa came up from college in Cincinnati to spend a few days with us. With Alyssa's help we made a complete Thanksgiving feast. No turkey for Madeline this year, but I'm sure she'll make up for it next year :-)
Grandpa & Grandma Frantz came to spend the day with us too- they brought the pie! As you can see we all had a wonderful time!
Daddy and Grandpa even went out and bought us a Christmas Tree. We haven't decorated it yet, but we will soon!

Off to Daycare!

Today Mommy had to go back to work & that meant Madeline was off to her first day at Daycare! She really seemed to fit right in. There was no crying - at least not any from Madeline - Mom was a different story! It was hard to leave her, but we're sure she's going to enjoy her time here. She's going to a Learning Center called Enchanted Care. She has her own crib and tons of new toys to play with! Miss Amy is going to be watching her along with 3 other little ones - all about the same age as Madeline. Their names are Shannon, Clark & Tatum. We're sure they'll all become great friends :-)

The Frantz Relatives

Today we went to visit all of the relatives in PA just north of Pittsburgh. Everyone got together at Aunt Lisa & Uncle Bob's House. Madeline got to meet her Great Grandpa, her Great Aunts & Uncles and her Cousins.
Aunt Lisa took her turn holding Madeline while cousin Ashley watched. Madeline doesn't look too happy here, but she calmed down and smiled at Lisa a little later :-) Next it was cousin Kim's turn to hold her. Kara even took a turn while Jason watched. Unfortunately, we don't have pictures of all the other people she got to meet, but everyone had a great time getting to know the newest addition to the Frantz family :-)

Great-Grandma Shirley

After another long trip in the car we finally made it to Great-Grandma Shirley's house! It's Madeline's first time to Pennsylvania and her first time meeting Great-Grandma Shirley. They sat together in the kitchen and enjoyed telling stories to each other :-) Dad joined in the picture fun too! After a good night's sleep and some more visiting with Great-Grandma in the morning, it was time to get back in the car and head to Sarver, PA to meet the all of the Frantz relatives!

Watch our new house being built!
