What's New!

Yep, having another person to write about has set our blog back WAAAAY farther than we wanted it to! Instead of trying to go back and fill in all of the blanks right away we've decided to start where we are right now and then back fill as we have time...

So, read about what we're up to now and then check below for links to past months that we've updated :-)

Christmas 2007

Merry Christmas! Is this sleepy girl ready to see if Santa found us?!?! He did!
And left all of us stockings filled with our favorite things :-)
Madeline's favorite - Little Einstiens! New legos too! After checking out the stockings we all got dressed and went to our friends house for breakfast. Then it was back to Grandma Judy's for the rest of the day. Great-Grandma Jen brought Madeline a very special gift... a hand-made personalized stocking. Look at that! It's beautiful :-) Santa even came later in the day. He brought Madeline some more Little People. Now she has a house and a barn! Look at all the animals! It was such an exciting day! All of the excitement made for one sleepy little girl. Great-Aunt Kim got some great cuddling time in before Madeline headed off to bed. What a great Christmas! We have so much to be thankful for :-)

Christmas Eve 2007

Christmas Eve! Off to Grandma Judy's house to celebrate!!!
Aunt Melanie had some big kisses waiting for Miss Madeline :-)
After a great dinner we got our church clothes on and opened some gifts. Madeline got snowpants from Godmother Alyssa & Boots too!Now she's all ready to go out and play in all the new snow! Madeline gave Godmother Alyssa a whole book of just the two of them - Godmother loved it! Grandma Judy gave Madeline her own "little girl size" table & chairs - how neat! A great picture of the girls, but where's Madeline???? She was way too busy trying on some new hats! Here's our little Elf :-) And now she's Santa! After all the gifts had been opened Grandma Judy read Madeline one of her new books. Then it was off to church and back to Grandma Judy's to spend the night - we hope Santa can find us here!

Frantz Family Christmas

Grandma & Grandpa Frantz can't make it to Minnesota for Christmas this year :-( So they (and a few others) sent some gifts in the mail. We've had them under the tree for a while, but today we get to open them up and see what's inside!
Madeline got The Best Word Book Ever from the Ahlmeyers. It's going to take a while to learn all the words in this book, but she's already got "car" down pat!
Grandma & Grandpa Frantz got her some really cool new blocks - They even came with Madeline's very own cars and a firetruck! Madeline's overall's had the perfect pockets for holding all those new cars :-) Next she opened up some new "boots". They're real Uggs and they are sooooo warm! Hey, where did all of your clothes go?!?!? Lastly she opened her gift from Great-Aunt Lisa & Great-Uncle Bob - Little People! She went right to work, putting the Mommy & the Daddy & the Baby in their house - so much fun :-) Wow, what a lucky little girl we have!
We are so thankful for the wonderful family and friends we have that make us feel so loved :-)

Happy Birthday Mommy!

Today is mommy's birthday! Her and Daddy are getting together with Grandma Judy, Dave, Great-Grandma Weiers & Great-Aunt Janet for dinner and a show. They're going to see The Sound of Music in St. Paul. Happy Birthday Mommy! Great-Aunt Lora, Cousin Alyshia and Cousin Dani came to the apartment to babysit. After lots of playing Madeline fell asleep on the couch with Alyshia - What a fun evening!

Christmas Cards

Mommy has procrastinated long enough and has finally decided that she really needs to get some Christmas cards ready and in the mail! After searching for the perfect picture to put on the card she decided that one picture wasn't enough! She picked out 3 pictures, one of Madeline in her Christmas dress, one of Madeline and Santa and one of Madeline and Daddy, but couldn't find a good one of her and Madeline, so she decided to take a new one just for the Christmas card. After quite a bit of messing with the tripod and the camera timer, this is how it turned out... Kind of blurry, but good enough :-)
It fit perfectly into the Christmas collage! Then it was off to the store to pick up the cards and back home again to print the envelopes. The cards will go out tomorrow - we hope everyone gets their cards before Christmas :-)

More Christmas Prep

Madeline absolutely loves mommy's purple Vikings Santa hat. Several times each day you can catch her wandering around the apartment wearing her favorite hat :-) We're very impressed that she can put in on all by herself! This afternoon we went to visit Grandma Judy. She was adding a few more ornaments to the tree so Madeline decided to help... Look at that concentration! After finally picking out the perfect ornament it was time to put it on the tree :-) Grandma was very thankful for all the help :-)

Smarty Pants!

Today mommy finally decided to capture how very smart Madeline is! While her and daddy were sitting on the couch, reading books and acting silly... Madeline showed us that she knows exactly where her nose is... her eyes are... her ear is... and where daddy's head is :-) She knows lots of other body parts too, like hair, forehead, eyebrows, cheek, mouth, lips, tongue, teeth, chin, hands, fingers, bum, knee, foot & toes! She knows how to say most of them too. I have a feeling we're going to have quite the smarty pants on our hands :-)

Another Tooth

Last night Madeline finally pushed out another tooth! The top, right, front tooth is in and the one next to it probably isn't far behind. So that makes 3 teeth for Madeline. Most kids her age have a whole mouth full of teeth by now, but Mommy and Daddy got their teeth late too, and the doctor said not to worry -they would come in time :-)

Madeline really likes wearing Mommy's Vikings Santa hat :-)
We think it looks good on her - don't you?

Our Very Own Tree

Daddy went out and got our Christmas tree this morning! Madeline watched as daddy got the tree all ready to decorate. Then she helped Daddy and Mommy put a few ornaments on the tree. She found one ornament that looked like a hat, so she put it exactly where she thought it belonged! We finally convinced her that it should go on the tree even though it was a hat :-) She really got a kick out of these ornaments :-) After all the ornaments were on the tree, it was finally time for the star! Now we just have to teach her that the tree is just to look at and not to touch... we'll have to wait and see how that goes :-)

Watch our new house being built!
