Standing Up & Loving It!

Sitting up on her own just hasn't been good enough lately - she always wants to stand! Looking at the world from this new viewpoint has been so exciting :-)

Most of the time Dad or mom has to help, but our little coffee table is just the right size to let her try it on her own! We just have to make sure Dad or Mom is right there to catch her when her legs get tired and she topples over!

Jumping

Madeline has really grown to love her jumper! It's one of her favorite parts of the day! She gets to let out all of the energy she has built up and really jumps like crazy :-) A perfect way to to get some exercise while it's still too cold to go and play outside.

Holding Her Own Bottle!

We've discovered a new talent... Madeline can hold her bottle all by herself! She still hasn't quite mastered how to get it back in her mouth once it has fallen out, but she's getting better at it all the time. Pretty soon Mom and Dad won't have to help at all!

Baby's Got Her Blue Jeans On!

Mom bought these blue jeans for Madeline months ago and they finally fit! Sure they are a size 3-6 months and Madeline is over 8 months old now, but since when have clothes ever fit her when the tags say they should ?!?! All that matters is that now we have a blue jean wearing baby and we think she's absolutely adorable. She's even wearing the black patten leather shoes - how trendy!

Flying Home

Our time in MN is over :-(
That means it's time to get back on the plane and fly home to see Daddy!Our flight was delyed because of all the snow, so we decided to pretend Madeline was flying instead!We were all tired, but we eventually got on the plane & made it back just an hour later than scheduled.

Hanging out in St. Paul, MN

We stayed at a hotel in downtown St. Paul, MN to watch the gymnastics meet, so we took advantage of the hotel pool. Aunt Melanie got to take Madeline swimming! Afterward we put on PJ's and played with Grandma. Cousin Greta was there and she helped Madeline fall asleep - what a busy weekend!

Gymnastics in Minnesota

This one's alittle long, but there were soo many great pictures....

We travelled all the way to Minnesota to see aunt Melanie compete in the MN State High School Gymnastics Meet. It's her senior year so we just couldn't miss it! Here is a picture of Madeline giving Melanie good-luck hugs just before competition started. We got all dressed up and cheered as loud as we could!Grandama Judy was dressed up too! Uncle Nick came all the way from Colorado to join the fun! He brought Kate too - Madeline loves to snuggle with Kate...Time for a nap with Great Aunt Janet. Taking a break with Great Aunt Jeanne. Aunt Alyssa, Tracey and Mom had a great time cheering and acting goofy! All of our cheering and great outfits must have worked because Aunt Melanie had her best meet ever!

Airplanes!!!

Today Madeline took her first ride on an airplane! Mom and Aunt Alyssa took the little munchkin to the airport and the 3 of us were off to Minnesota to see Grandma Judy, Aunt Melanie and Uncle Nick - very exciting :) Here we are checking in... Daddy said good-bye and we were off! She did very well on the plane - no crying! She just slept and played - what a good girl :-) Hopefully the ride home will go just as well!

Frigid Digits

It was just a matter of time before we broke out the snowsuit and went outside to investigate all of the snow! We had the perfect opportunity today because our friends Carl & Dana were having their annual Frigid Digits party in Indianapolis. A bunch of friends get together every February to play outside - no matter how cold it is! Madeline made her first appearance at the annual event
(actually, she was there last year too -
she was just keeping warm inside mommy's belly!)
We kept her covered from head to toe, so she was very toasty :-) Silly Mom and Dad - where are your gloves???
Maybe next year Madeline can help us build a snowman!
