Teddy Bear Band

Madeline and Mommy have been going to the Mall of America for their Toddler Tuesday's pretty regularly lately. This week the Teddy Bear Band was there! Madeline got to color a few pictures and then dance, dance, dance to the great music :-) When the band was done playing we waited in line for Madeline's very first Hot Air Balloon ride at the amusement park! Madeline thought it was great! We'll have to make sure we get back again soon and show Daddy all this great stuff :-)

Easter Day

Well once again it looks like the Easter Bunny found us in Colorado! The Easter Bunny was VERY good to Madeline this year... bunny ears, books, a little Little Einsteins CD, bubbles,and a new teddy bear back pack! After finding all the surprises the Easter Bunny left for us we all sat down for a great breakfast. The rest of the day was spent sledding and just relaxing - Tomorrow we will head back to MN :-(

Colorado Easter Vacation - Day 3

After waking up this morning and spending some quality time with her new ducky
(THANK YOU UNCLE KEITH!) we headed into Breckenridge for some shopping. Madeline was a trooper going in and out of all the little shops. We even found a toy shop that had a play area in the back - Just what Madeline needed to get out a little of that built up energy.
After shopping we went back to the house to color Easter Eggs. Madeline used her crayons to color her egg and then helped Daddy put some sparkley paper on a few more :-) We can't wait for Easter morning!

Colorado Easter Vacation - Day 2

Yesterday we left Denver and headed for our rental house in Fairplay. We didn't get there until it was almost dark, but today we woke up to a beautiful mountain view! We soon discovered there were sleds and a great hill. Aunt Melanie and Grandma Judy took the opportunity to get Madeline outside for a while.
Here she goes... Oops - fell down... But kept going... Made it! Sooooo fun :-) The rest of the day was spent relaxing. The house was nice and there was definitely enough room for everyone - should be a fun couple of days!

Colorado Easter Vacation - Day 1

We got into Denver late last night and made it to Uncle Nick and Kate's apartment a little after midnight. After some catching up we all tried to get a little sleep, but were up early to go and get Aunt Alyssa from the airport. When we got back to the apartment Madeline was already up and loved all of the attention she was getting from having so many aunts and uncles around!
She settled right in with Godmother Alyssa. It looks like the 2 months it's been since she's seen Godmother (except in pictures) didn't phase her at all. It's going to be a great vacation :-)

Happy St. Patty's Day!

We didn't have any Saint Patrick's Day festivities planned this year, but decided it wouldn't be a good idea to stay cooped up in the apartment. So, we went to the Saint Louis Park Rec. Center for Open Tot Time. Madeline got dressed in her green pants and we were off. She found some new things to play with today...

A tricycle (no peddling on her own yet) And a fire truck! Always a good time :-)

That girl doesn't have any clothes on!!!

We haven't taken pictures of Madeline at bath time for quite a while, so we thought it was about time to capture her in action! Whenever she gets ready for the bath she takes the opportunity to run around the apartment without any clothes on - she thinks it's hilarious!!! When we finally catch her, into the bath she goes.
Most of her time is spent playing with her bath toys, but she likes dumping water on herself too :-) Eventually the soap comes out and she gets all cleaned up :-)
Time to dry off and get those PJ's on!!! Always an adventure :-)

A trip to Wisconsin

The very unfortunate loss of a Kate's brother, Jack (20), moved us to make a trip to Wisconsin to attend his services (Kate is Uncle Nick's long-time girl friend). Grandma Judy made the trip with Mommy and Madeline.
It was very sad, but we hope Madeline's smile helped make Kate feel a little better. So many of Kate's family and friends were there for support.

We took this very rare opportunity to capture Uncle Nick with all three of his Godchildren... Madeline and Cayden became fast friends :-) We love you Kate and think of you often...

Happy Birthday Aunt Melanie!!!

A night out with family is always fun and it's even more fun when there is a birthday involved :-) So, to help Aunt Melanie celebrate her 19th birthday we drove down to Saint Peter and met her & Grandma Judy and Dave for dinner. Madeline was so good and kept everyone entertained as usual :-) Happy 19th Birthday Melanie!

Is it Spring Yet?

The Minnesota winter seems to be lasting forever, but we're trying to keep things entertaining here in our apartment :-) Today all of the cushions came off the couch and turned into Madeline's very own fort! She climbed and crawled and jumped and even invited all of her stuffed animal friends to join in the fun :-) Amazing the hours of entertainment your furniture can create!
