Our first night went really well! Madeline put herself to bed in her tent (inside Grandma's tent) at about 9:30 and only got up once to go to the bathroom. Sam slept about 7 hours before he got up to eat - mommy liked this :-) He slept right between mom and dad on our air mattress, so he was toasty warm 
We cooked breakfast over the fire 
eggs, toasted beagals & sausage - it was fantastic!
Madeline enjoyed exploring while we got the bikes packed up with lunch.
Then we headed out to the beach. It was pretty chilly, with the wind blowing in off the lake, so we only stayed long enough to build a sand castle and eat lunch. Then we headed back to camp and played a few games 
Daddy's not really a "gamer", so while Madeline napped 
and the rest of us played cards, 
he and Sam just sat and relaxed 
and eventually fell asleep 
. 
After a delicious dinner cooked over the camp fire, Sam took another nap, 
Madeline read a few books,
and then snuggled Daddy by the fire before bed. 
We all just LOVE camping!!!
