Hi Everyone! Welcome to the Frantz Family website. We hope this will help keep everyone up-to-date with all of the fun things we've been up to :-)
What's New!
Yep, having another person to write about has set our blog back WAAAAY farther than we wanted it to! Instead of trying to go back and fill in all of the blanks right away we've decided to start where we are right now and then back fill as we have time...
So, read about what we're up to now and then check below for links to past months that we've updated :-)
Very early this morning mom and dad left for Mexico and Madeline has been having a great time with Alyssa. They played all day and Alyssa gave Madeline her first Big Girl Ponytail!Mom & dad got to see it right away because Alyssa sent them a picture message - it was great! How many other new things will Madeline do while mom and dad are on vacation?!?!?
We've packed everything up and today we headed out to Grandma Judy's house. Madeline will be staying here for a whole week with her Godmother, Alyssa, while mom and dad are in Mexico! When we got there there was a Christmas package for Madeline from her Godfather Nick, and Kate. Madeline opened it up and it was a set of DVD's with all of the Christmas Clasics, like Rudolph, Frosty the Snowman & How the Grinch Stole Christmas! Thank You Godfather!Grandma still has her Christmas decorations out so Madeline immediately went to find her favorite - the baby Jesus from Grandma's nativity set :-) It truely is a miracle that we still know where baby Jesus is after all of the playing with him Madeline has done over the Holidays! We also got to see the amazing chalk drawing Kate did of Madeline when she was 12 months old. Nick and Kate gave this drawing to Grandma Judy for Christmas. Madeline sure likes it!Madeline still isn't feeling all that great - we sure hopes that medicine starts working soon! Mom and dad leave early tomorrow morning. Good thing she'll have aunt Melanie to hold her...and Aunt Alyssa and Grandma Judy to give her lots of lovin'!
Well, it's official, we took Madeline to the doctor yesterday and he says it's Bronchitis & Pharyngitis :-( She's taking Amoxicillan, Robitussin & Tylenol! Hopefully she'll start to feel better soon. This is only the 4th time she's ever had a fever and the first time she's ever had to go to the doctor for any sort of illness. Today we went to Grandma Judy's to pick up Godmother Alyssa. She's going to stay with us at the apartment for the next few days. On Friday mom and dad leave for Cabo and Madeline will be staying with Alyssa and Grandma for the whole week! Alyssa is here learning the routine so that she doesn't have any surprises while we are gone. It'll be our first extended stay away from Madeline. We're excited for our vacation, but sad about leaving her for so long. It's even harder knowing she's sick, but Grandma only lives 5 miles from the doctor. Get better soon little girl!
It's New Years Eve and Madeline still isn't feeling well, so we decided that a quite family New Years was all we were up for this year. If this runny nose and fever are still here tomorrow we're heading for the doctor... This just isn't the face of healthy little girl :-( We hope you feel better soon!
Today we went to Grandma Judy's hometown, Union Hill, for the Weiers Family Christmas. Madeline really wasn't feeling very good, but Godmother Alyssa tried to make her feel better and helped her open her gift :-) Our little cousin Brandon was there for Madeline to play with. He's a little older than Madeline, but they still had a good time playing together! Daddy tried to make her feel better too, by playing on the stairs... We hope she starts to feel better soon!
It snowed all Christmas Day and left everything beautifully covered in a fresh layer of white! A perfect opportunity to try out those new snowpants and boots Madeline got from her Godmother, Alyssa, for Christmas! It took a while to get on enough layers... but soon enough Grandma Judy was pulling Madeline on her very first sled ride! This little girl is obviously enjoying herself! Oops! It's all good :-)Mommy took a turn pulling too... Everyone was having a great time :-) Look at how deep that snow is! When we put her on the shoveled driveway she was off and running! Oh Oh! Too fast :-) What a great day!!!
Merry Christmas! Is this sleepy girl ready to see if Santa found us?!?! He did! And left all of us stockings filled with our favorite things :-) Madeline's favorite - Little Einstiens! New legos too! After checking out the stockings we all got dressed and went to our friends house for breakfast. Then it was back to Grandma Judy's for the rest of the day. Great-Grandma Jen brought Madeline a very special gift... a hand-made personalized stocking. Look at that! It's beautiful :-) Santa even came later in the day. He brought Madeline some more Little People. Now she has a house and a barn! Look at all the animals! It was such an exciting day! All of the excitement made for one sleepy little girl. Great-Aunt Kim got some great cuddling time in before Madeline headed off to bed. What a great Christmas! We have so much to be thankful for :-)
Christmas Eve! Off to Grandma Judy's house to celebrate!!! Aunt Melanie had some big kisses waiting for Miss Madeline :-) After a great dinner we got our church clothes on and opened some gifts. Madeline got snowpants from Godmother Alyssa & Boots too!Now she's all ready to go out and play in all the new snow! Madeline gave Godmother Alyssa a whole book of just the two of them - Godmother loved it! Grandma Judy gave Madeline her own "little girl size" table & chairs - how neat! A great picture of the girls, but where's Madeline???? She was way too busy trying on some new hats! Here's our little Elf :-) And now she's Santa! After all the gifts had been opened Grandma Judy read Madeline one of her new books. Then it was off to church and back to Grandma Judy's to spend the night - we hope Santa can find us here!
Grandma & Grandpa Frantz can't make it to Minnesota for Christmas this year :-( So they (and a few others) sent some gifts in the mail. We've had them under the tree for a while, but today we get to open them up and see what's inside! Madeline got The Best Word Book Ever from the Ahlmeyers. It's going to take a while to learn all the words in this book, but she's already got "car" down pat! Grandma & Grandpa Frantz got her some really cool new blocks - They even came with Madeline's very own cars and a firetruck! Madeline's overall's had the perfect pockets for holding all those new cars :-) Next she opened up some new "boots". They're real Uggs and they are sooooo warm! Hey, where did all of your clothes go?!?!? Lastly she opened her gift from Great-Aunt Lisa & Great-Uncle Bob - Little People! She went right to work, putting the Mommy & the Daddy & the Baby in their house - so much fun :-) Wow, what a lucky little girl we have! We are so thankful for the wonderful family and friends we have that make us feel so loved :-)
