What's New!

Yep, having another person to write about has set our blog back WAAAAY farther than we wanted it to! Instead of trying to go back and fill in all of the blanks right away we've decided to start where we are right now and then back fill as we have time...

So, read about what we're up to now and then check below for links to past months that we've updated :-)

Fun at Grandma & Grandpa Frantz's House

After having some fun in Indy, we drove to Terre Haute to see Grandpa and Grandma Frantz. Madeline had so much fun playing with Grandma and Grandpa while Mommy and Daddy went out to visit friends from collage. She played outside and explored all of Grandma's garden :-) It was so nice to see Grandma and Grandpa again!

New Friend

Last night we flew from Minnesota to Indiana to visit family and friends for the weekend. Our first stop was in Indianapolis to meet new little baby Kelsey! It was so nice to see Kelsey's mommy, Amy, again :-) Madeline even got to hold Kelsey! Their Dog Gizmo was happy to see all of us again too :-)

Renaissance Festival

One of the country's biggest Renaissance Festivals takes place every year about 20 miles from Grandma Judy's house, so we decided to go and check it out! There were so many neat things to see and do. First Mommy & Grandma Judy took Madeline for a ride on an Elephant! Then we watched some Knights riding horses and jousting! We even got to see and touch snakes! We had a great day :-)

More Fun at the Metrodome!

Today we went to another Twins game, but this time Grandma Judy and Dave came along. First we went out to eat at The Old Spaghetti Factory, then we walked down to the Metrodome. We were there kind of early so Grandma Judy and Madeline played in the grass :-) It was such a nice evening to play outside! Then it was time to head in the game. The Twins didn't play very well and lost to the Chicago White Sox :-(
Madeline lost interest in about the 7th inning and snuggled with Grandma until it was time to head home :-)

Dozinky Days

Since we are living back in Mommy's home town, New Prague, MN, we just had to go to the annual town harvest festival, Dozinky Days!
Dozinky Days are held to celebrate the town's Czech heritage.
There was lots of Czech and German food to eat and a big parade with lots of floats and old machinery.
Madeline loved watching everything go by.Especially Daddy, as he drove one of Great-Grandpa Deutsch's old tractors in the parade!

Are you Ready for Some Football?!?!?!?

Most people know that mommy is a huge Vikings fan, so for the season opener today all the girls (Grandma Judy, Madeline, Mommy and Great-Aunt Janet) put on their purple and gold! Madeline was quite the little cheerleader :-) She was more interested in her books than she was in the game... but still cheered with mommy when the Vikings won! Go Vikings!!!

First MN Twins Baseball Game

Tonight Mommy & Daddy took Madeline to her very first Minnesota Twins baseball game in the Metrodome! Madeline and Daddy got to wear their new Twins jerseys for the first time :-)It was an exciting game. Scott Baker, the Twins pitcher, had a no-hitter until the 9th inning and the Twins beat the Kansas City Royals 5 -0 :-) The game didn't get over until almost 10pm, but Madeline stayed awake for the whole thing!

Visiting Great-Grandma Deutsch

Tonight we went to Great-Grandma Deutsch's house for dinner. While we were waiting for dinner to be done we found some of Great-Grandma's toys that she played with when she was a little girl. Madeline wasn't much bigger than Great-Grandma's doll! Then it was time to eat and Madeline got to sit in the high chair that her Grandpa Ron used to use :-) Mmmm, so good!

Cream Puffs!?!?

One of mommy's family's favorite desserts is cream puffs. Since it was Aunt Melanie's last day at home before heading off to college we made them for her, and even made a miniature one just for Madeline!
She's had pudding lots of times, but never pudding inside a cream puff so she wasn't quite sure what to think of it at first.
She looked at it,
touched it, and then took her first bite... Mmmmm, so good! After that she definitely wanted more :-) We'll have to have those again soon!

Watch our new house being built!
