Bye Godmother And the Taste of Minnesota

It was time to say good-bye to Godmother Alyssa and Glen today. They're headed back to Ohio - Madeline didn't want them to leave! To get her mind off of saying good-bye, we headed to St. Paul for the Taste of Minnesota on Harriet Island. It didn't take her long to start enjoying herself :-) Following Daddy and Grandma and looking at the river were great fun. It was REALLY hot so Madeline just had to try her first snow cone - yuuuuumy :-) Next it was off to the carnival.
She rode the bees with mommy, the Big Slide with daddy (3 times), the pink shell all be herself and the carousel with mom - Another fun summer day in Minnesota!

Party, Party, Party!!!

Today was Madeline's "official" second birthday party. We started off the day with some breakfast at Grandma Judy's house. Madeline and Grandma Judy shared some watermelon :-) Once it was good and hot outside Madeline jumped in her pool. Since her gift from Godmother Alyssa and Glen was a water toy she got to open it right there! Wow, it's Rocket and Leo from the Little Einsteins - how perfect!!!
She was getting a little chilly so we took her in to change clothes and she found more presents... A bubble blower from Eric, And an airplane from Dave :-) Then we moved the party to the garage and she sat on Great-Grandma Weiers' lap to open her card. Wow, she's rich! Thanks Grandma Weiers :-) Then it was time to eat!
Chips, Pickles and Cheeseburgers - all of Madeline's favorites :-) Thank you grandma for making such good food! After dinner she got to open her gifts from Great-Uncle Marv, Great-Aunt Kim and cousin Greta. A Dora book and a new swim suit - Thank You!!! Next was her gift from Mom and Dad... her very own tricycle! Let's give it a try! The rest of the night was spent showing off her new suit and riding her new toys. We even had a few races with Godmother Alyssa and Daddy. What an awesome birthday party!!!! Thank you everyone :-)

Fourth of July

We started out our 4th at Great-Grandma Weiers' house. The whole family was there and they were having a funny hat contest! Madeline's hat wasn't very funny, but it sure was cute :-) Grandma Judy's hat, on the other hand, was pretty funny... She hung out with cousin Alyshia and Kate, and Cousin Sarah. She even got to drive the tractor :-) Later that afternoon we went back to Grandma Judy's and played outside -
it was so fun :-) Madeline especially liked helping Cousin Becky and Aunt Alyssa set up their tent! Fireworks were still a little too late for Madeline... maybe next year :-)
