What's New!

Yep, having another person to write about has set our blog back WAAAAY farther than we wanted it to! Instead of trying to go back and fill in all of the blanks right away we've decided to start where we are right now and then back fill as we have time...

So, read about what we're up to now and then check below for links to past months that we've updated :-)

Back in Ohio :-)

Today Mommy & Madeline flew back to Ohio with Grandma Judy and Dave. Godmother Alyssa is Graduating from Xavier collage in Cincinnati and we couldn't miss it :-) Since we were going to be in the area we just had to meet up with all of our friends in Columbus! We met at a park, had some lunch and then did a whole bunch of playing!
So many of our friends were there....Ankia and her mom Suzanne, McKenna and her mom Andrea, Dillon, Owen and their mom Kristy, Aiden and his mom Cari & Ian and his mom Janine. It was so much fun :-) After we said good-bye to our friends we drove down to Cincinnati and finally got to see Godmother Alyssa - Madeline gave her lots of kisses :-) We stayed up late catching up - Madeline was super tired by the end of the night! More fun awaits tomorrow...

Mother Day 2008!

Today we went down to New Prague to have breakfast with Grandma Judy, Great-Grandma Jen and Great-Aunt Kim for Mother's Day.
Cousin Greta and Aunt Melanie were there too! Later we went to Great-Grandma Weiers' house and played outside.
Daddy had to leave for a business trip, but Mommy & Madeline had a lot of fun.
It was a great Mother's Day :-) Happy Mother's Day Everyone!!!

Last Day at ECFE

Today was Mommy and Madeline's last day with our ECFE (Early Childhood Family Education) class. We've been coming every Friday for a couple of months and it has been so much fun! Madeline and Mommy both made lots of friends :-) Today Madeline got to paint a picture! She's our little Picasso!!! Madeline's friend Mariah also thought painting was great fun :-) Our Teacher Candice thought her creation was beautiful. After painting it was time to play in the water... all the kids joined in for this one. After all of that playing it was time for a snack break - then it was right back to playing :-) Madeline and Ella finished off the day sorting shapes. The entire class was great - here we all are! (From left to right: Jessica & Madeline; Jody & Mariah; Lyndsey & Ella; Anne & Vance; Janal & Wyatt; Kendra & Lawson; Sarah & Annabel; Melinda & Natasha)

Hopefully we can be part of another class in the Fall :-)

RummyCube

Once again we spent the day at Grandma Judy's :-) We played with puzzles and crayons and markers and we played Madeline's favorite game - RummyCube! No, she doesn't really know how to play, but she loves to line up all the numbers and show us how smart she is!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Today was daddy's birthday! We played all day and then went out for a special birthday dinner. When we got home we gave daddy his birthday pie! Peanut butter - his favorite :-) Madeline helped Daddy taste it. After she knew it was ok she let daddy taste it too - sooo good!!! Later that night Grandma Sonja read Madeline a few bedtime stories. We hope Grandma Sonja can come visit often!

Como Park Zoo & Conservatory

Today we went to the Como Park Zoo and Conservatory with Grandma Sonja & Grandma Judy. We walked everywhere and saw all sorts of animals. We also got to plant a few acorns - I hope we can get them to grow! Madeline loved looking at the real animals but also got a kick out of this bronze turtle :-) After looking at the big fish in the aquarium we took a quick walk through the conservatory to look at all of the pretty flowers. We found one that had fallen on to the ground - it was such a pretty purple. Madeline also liked the yellow flowers. They had a craft area, so Madeline painted her very own flower pot! We'll have to get some flowers to plant in it :-) To end our trip we looked at all of the colorful fish in the coy pond. What a great day!

MN Children's Museum

Tonight Daddy, Mommy and Madeline went to the Children's museum with our Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) class. Madeline got to do all sorts of new things. First we explored Sesame Street and Madeline played with a steel drum. Then Madeline entered a great play area where the sunflowers were huge and there were lots of fun toys to climb on. Next we went "underground", crawling through logs and giant ant tunnels. We even went sliding down a beaver dam. Next Madeline and Daddy did a little construction work and then we played in the water. The water was definitely her favorite part. We had a great time :-)

Watch our new house being built!
