More Christmas Prep

Madeline absolutely loves mommy's purple Vikings Santa hat. Several times each day you can catch her wandering around the apartment wearing her favorite hat :-) We're very impressed that she can put in on all by herself! This afternoon we went to visit Grandma Judy. She was adding a few more ornaments to the tree so Madeline decided to help... Look at that concentration! After finally picking out the perfect ornament it was time to put it on the tree :-) Grandma was very thankful for all the help :-)

Smarty Pants!

Today mommy finally decided to capture how very smart Madeline is! While her and daddy were sitting on the couch, reading books and acting silly... Madeline showed us that she knows exactly where her nose is... her eyes are... her ear is... and where daddy's head is :-) She knows lots of other body parts too, like hair, forehead, eyebrows, cheek, mouth, lips, tongue, teeth, chin, hands, fingers, bum, knee, foot & toes! She knows how to say most of them too. I have a feeling we're going to have quite the smarty pants on our hands :-)

Another Tooth

Last night Madeline finally pushed out another tooth! The top, right, front tooth is in and the one next to it probably isn't far behind. So that makes 3 teeth for Madeline. Most kids her age have a whole mouth full of teeth by now, but Mommy and Daddy got their teeth late too, and the doctor said not to worry -they would come in time :-)

Madeline really likes wearing Mommy's Vikings Santa hat :-) We think it looks good on her - don't you?

Our Very Own Tree

Daddy went out and got our Christmas tree this morning! Madeline watched as daddy got the tree all ready to decorate. Then she helped Daddy and Mommy put a few ornaments on the tree. She found one ornament that looked like a hat, so she put it exactly where she thought it belonged! We finally convinced her that it should go on the tree even though it was a hat :-) She really got a kick out of these ornaments :-) After all the ornaments were on the tree, it was finally time for the star! Now we just have to teach her that the tree is just to look at and not to touch... we'll have to wait and see how that goes :-)

Decorating for Christmas at Grandma's House

After the Christmas party at Caterpillar we drove down to grandma Judy's house to help her decorate for Christmas. Madeline helped Grandma put ornaments on the tree, and really liked Grandma's talking Santa! When we were done we lit up the tree - so pretty!

Christmas at Caterpillar

Today there was a Christmas party at Caterpillar, where Daddy works! Madeline got to sit on Santa's lap and meet Mrs. Claus too :-) We took a tour of the manufacturing plant and Daddy showed us the type of machine he helps design. This is the old model roller, but Daddy's working on a new one.

All of the Cat employees spent a lot of time decorating all the machines for the party - how fun! Next year we'll have to bring more people to show them where Daddy works :-)

Another Day in PA

Today everyone went to Great-Uncle Jim and Great-Aunt Debbie's house for dinner. She got to play with cousin Kim and listen to Great-Grandpa Frantz tell everyone stories. Once we were back at Great-Aunt Lisa's house we decided to get all the Himes together for a picture.Cousin Jenny & Cousin Ashley read books with Madeline,and Grandma read Madeline a bedtime story... But we don't think it made Madeline very tired, because once we got her outfit off, she decided to entertain everyone for the next 45 minutes by climbing on her Christmas gift and just being goofy! What a silly girl :-)

Thanks for letting us stay with you Lisa, Bob, Ashley & Jenny - we can't wait to visit again!

Fun with the Himes Family

After the wedding we went to Great-Aunt Lisa and Great-Uncle Bob's house. Madeline was excited to show the whole family all of her toys :-) It didn't take long fer her to wear herself out - there'll be more time to play with everyone tomorrow :-)

Cousin Jason & Kara's Wedding

Today we went to Cousin Jason and Kara's wedding. Madeline was a little too loud to stay at the Ceremony so her and Mommy played in the back of church instead.
At the reception Daddy took Madeline to say Congratulations to the new couple,and apologize for being so loud during the ceremony :-) All of the Frantz Cousins were there.What a beautiful day!

Fun Times in PA

Today we started out at Great-Grandma Shirley's before heading north for Cousin Jason Frantz' wedding. Madeline had time to catch a nap with Grandpa before we had to get ready to go. Wow! Look at that crazy hair - must be because she just woke up :-) After some lunch and a bath we all got ready to go and took one last picture with Great-Grandma, Grandma, Daddy & Madeline before we left. Thanks for having us Grandma!
